There are some perfect models for the modern journal articles,
They measure every gene or imaginable particles,
With many colored photos whose microscopy's all digital
'though for many of us readers we may fail to dig it all.

They test as many mutant genes as they could make a hybrid of,
Their reasons for conclusions barely ever are discernable,
Accepting absolutely theories less than logical
That range from merely dumb to Thermodynamical

Each journal mixes graphs with pretty pictures dyed in many colors
From which they reach conclusions based on ignoring all the others
Sequence gels, fluorescent stains, and details that mostly smother
Confirm whatever theory their grants most wanted to discover.

Diseases are our enemies, so we seek ways to bring them into danger.
Unfortunately, their causes prove more complicated, as well as stranger.
Therefore inventing ways to harm them becomes harder than expected.
When you have to fit your data to whichever ideas are most respected.

Even worse than finding rhymes for every pair of sentences
Is explaining observations that mostly are coincidences
Is the chance of curing cancer even less than none at all?
With dominating concepts that are mostly folderal.

Or are there easy methods that lie just beyond imagination
Which we could quickly think of with a bit more determination
Imagination and determination don't really rhyme,
But my poetical efforts are running out of time.

And apoptosis doesn't scan so well however many Ps are in it
With caspase digesting every cell in ways that are determinate
